Your Skater Plate
is a high-performance,
precise plate. It cannot be mounted and used immediately without
proper set-up of the truck assembly, if ultimate performance is
expected.
After mounting the
plates to your boots,
remove each truck assembly from the plates, if this was not done
done prior to mounting.
Carefully mark all
original truck locations
(RF, RR, LF or LR) or set-up one truck assembly at a time to assure
re-assembly in the correct positions.
Now loosen all pivot
pins and screw them in.
Reassemble the trucks
onto each plate and make sure the click action nut is all the
way down on each plate.
Use the bottom king
pin nut to tighten up the trucks slowly, removing as much truck
movement as possible. But, do not over-tighten. It is better to
be a little loose than too tight.
Put a small amount
of high quality synthetic oil on the end of each pivot pin.
Next, seat the pivot
pins by screwing the pivot pin out until there is just a little
resistance. Now lock it down.
You can now adjust
the truck assembly with the clicker nuts.
Do not adjust the click action nut until plates have been skated
on.
Depending on the skater, the trucks may not require adjustment
until the cushions wear.
This will insure top performance. And please remember that these
are high performance plates which require regular maintenance
to keep them in top condition.
